Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the paddleboard tour? Is it mostly wet?

A: I'd recommend wearing a swimsuit or quick-dry clothing since you're likely to get splashed while paddling. Water shoes or sandals are a good idea too, especially when hiking. The sun can be intense, so don’t forget a hat and sunscreen. Bring a towel for after the swim at Emerald Cave!

Q: Is there an age limit for the paddleboard tour?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but kids should be comfortable in the water and under adult supervision. The guides are great at working with families, so it's suitable for kids around 8 and up. Just keep in mind that the paddleboarding part might be easier for older kids and teens.

Q: Can we reschedule if we can’t make it on the booked date?

A: Yes, you can reschedule as long as you notify River Dogz at least 48 hours in advance. Just shoot them a message or call, and they’ll help you find a new time. It’s pretty flexible, which is nice!

Thinking of gifting the Colorado River Paddleboard Tour!

I’m considering this paddleboard tour for my boyfriend's birthday. He loves being outdoors and is always looking for new adventures! The 5.5-mile route sounds amazing, and I’m really excited about the Emerald Cave part. Do you think he’d enjoy this? Also, how strenuous is the hike?

Just got back from the paddleboard tour—what a blast!

I did the half-day paddleboard tour last weekend, and it was one of the best experiences ever! From the views of Black Canyon to swimming in the river and checking out Emerald Cave, I can't recommend it enough. The snacks they provided were awesome too. Bring a good camera, you won’t want to miss the photos!
