Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the half-day deep-sea fishing trip?

A: You'll want to wear comfortable, breathable clothing since it can get warm out on the water. I'd suggest some quick-dry shorts and a light long-sleeve shirt to protect against the sun. Don't forget a hat and sunglasses, plus some non-slip shoes or sandals. Sunscreen is a must!

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to go on the deep-sea fishing trip?

A: Kids of all ages are welcome! Blue Heron Fleet even has crew members experienced with fishing alongside families. Just keep in mind that younger kids may need a bit more supervision, especially if they haven't fished before. It’s a great bonding experience!

Q: What if the weather is bad and they cancel the trip?

A: They usually check the weather in advance and will cancel if it's unsafe to go out. You can reschedule for another day, and they’re pretty flexible about it. Just make sure to call ahead to confirm any changes and see what days are available.

Thinking about gifting the deep-sea fishing experience at Blue Heron!

Hey guys! I’m considering this half-day fishing trip at Riviera Beach as a gift for my dad’s birthday. He loves fishing but hasn’t done deep-sea fishing before. The price seems great since it includes everything—rod, reel, bait, and even the fishing license. I'm just worried about how well he'll do and if it’s worth it. Anyone done this yet?

Tips for first-timers at Blue Heron Fleet?

I've never been deep-sea fishing before, but I'm heading to Riviera Beach next weekend for this trip. Any tips for a first-timer? What to expect? I’m excited but also a bit nervous about getting seasick. Should I take anything for that?
