Q&A
A: Kids as young as 8 can join the rafting trip, but you'll want to check with Great Northern Rafting for their specific requirements. They have life jackets that fit younger kids, so safety is covered! It’s a great family experience, just make sure they’re comfortable with water activities.
A: Dress in layers! It can be chilly in the morning but warms up later. Wetsuits are usually provided, but I’d recommend wearing a swimsuit underneath. Don’t forget water shoes or sandals with straps. Also, a quick-dry towel and sunscreen are must-haves!
A: It's totally beginner-friendly! You start on calm waters to learn the basics, and the rapids are manageable. The guides do a great job explaining everything and keeping it fun. You’ll have a blast, even if you’re nervous at first!

Just got back from the Glacier National Park rafting trip, and wow!
We just did the half-day whitewater rafting adventure with Great Northern Rafting and it was incredible! The calm start was perfect for our group of beginners, and the views of Glacier National Park were breathtaking. Once we hit the rapids, it was all giggles and screams! Bonecrusher was intense but so much fun. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an adventure!
Thinking of gifting the rafting trip, any tips?
I’m considering the half-day rafting adventure as a gift for my sister’s birthday. She loves being outdoors but has never been whitewater rafting. Any advice on what to expect, or how to prepare her for it?
