Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the Half Day Hike in Asheville? Is it a tough trek?

A: I'd recommend wearing comfortable hiking shoes and breathable clothing, since you'll be walking a bit. The hike isn't too strenuous, mostly moderate trails, but definitely be ready for some elevation changes. Also, a hat and sunscreen would be a good idea, especially if it's sunny!

Q: Are there age limits for the Half Day Hike? Can kids join?

A: Kids are absolutely welcome to join the hike! It's a family-friendly experience, but I’d recommend checking with the provider to confirm they can handle younger kids. Just keep in mind that if they're really little, you may want to make sure they can walk the distance. Also, snacks are included, so they’ll stay fueled!

Q: What if it rains? Will the Half Day Hike get canceled?

A: The hike usually goes on unless there's severe weather. But if it's just light rain, bring a rain jacket and you should be good to go! The waterfalls can look even more beautiful with some rain, so it might actually enhance the experience. Just check with the provider beforehand for updates.

Thinking of gifting the Half Day Hike in Asheville!

Hey all! I’m considering giving my brother a Half Day Hike experience for his birthday. He loves nature, and I think he'd appreciate the wildlife knowledge from the guide. Has anyone done this hike? What did you think? Was it as cool as it sounds? Any tips?

Just went on the Half Day Hike - Water Falls, and wow!

Just got back from the Half Day Hike in Asheville and I'm still buzzing from the experience! The guide shared so many cool facts about the trees and flowers. The snacks were a nice touch too! I’d say it’s perfect for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, but I did feel a bit winded on some parts. Totally worth it though!
