Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but younger kids should be comfortable walking on uneven terrain. The trails are mostly paved but can get steep, especially at Diamond Head. Families often bring kids 8 and up, but just keep an eye on them since some parts can be a bit tricky.
A: Wear lightweight, breathable clothes and comfy hiking shoes. The sun can be intense, so a hat and sunglasses are a must. Also, don't forget sunscreen! The trails can get slippery after rain, so watch your footing.
A: Yes, you can reschedule due to weather! Just give Kaimana Tours a call or email them. They’re really accommodating. It's always a good idea to check the forecast in advance, especially in the rainy season.

Just did the Diamond Head and Makapuu hike – wow!
I just got back from the half-day hiking tour, and it was AMAZING! The views from Diamond Head were breathtaking, especially of Waikiki and the ocean. Makapu‘u was a bit easier but just as beautiful. I loved the Halona Blowhole stop too. Took so many pics! We had a great shuttle driver from Waikiki. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Oahu!
Thinking of gifting the hiking tour! Any advice?
I want to give this half-day hiking tour to my sister and her family. They're new to hiking and will be in Honolulu next month. Is it good for beginners? How long does the whole tour take? I'm worried about the heat too!
