Q&A
A: Definitely go for casual and comfortable! Light, breathable clothing is best since you'll be out and about. I wore a tank top and shorts and it worked out great. Don’t forget to bring a swimsuit for the waterfall swim at Puaʻa Kaʻa — it's a blast! Also, flip-flops or water shoes are perfect for getting in and out of the water.
A: The private tour can accommodate up to 6 people comfortably. It’s perfect for families or a small group of friends! You'll have plenty of room to enjoy the ride and all the stops. Just make sure to book in advance if you have a larger group, as they might be able to arrange for a bigger vehicle if needed.
A: No specific age limit! It’s family-friendly, so kids are welcome. Just keep in mind that younger kids might need extra supervision at the waterfall. They’ll have a blast swimming, but it’s good to be cautious. The guides are super accommodating and will make sure everyone has a great time!

Just did the Half-Day Road to Hana tour, and WOW!
I can’t recommend this tour enough! We swam in the waterfall at Puaʻa Kaʻa and it was like a dream — so refreshing! Plus, Aunty Sandy's banana bread is just as good as they say. Our guide shared awesome stories about East Maui that really brought the area to life. Just a heads up, book early if you want a private tour — it’s worth it!
Considering this tour as a gift for my parents!
Thinking about getting the Half-Day Road to Hana tour for my mom and dad. They love nature and adventure! I’m a little worried about how much walking is involved. Anyone know what to expect?
