Q: What age do you have to be to participate in the scuba diving course?

A: Participants need to be at least 10 years old to join the Half Day Discover Scuba Diving Course. Just keep in mind that kids under 18 need an adult to sign a waiver. It’s a great experience for families, and even teens love it!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the dive?

A: If the weather isn’t cooperating, Gold Coast Scuba will contact you to reschedule. They prioritize safety, so if conditions aren’t ideal for diving, they’ll definitely make sure you can come back another day. Just keep an eye on the forecast!

Q: What should we wear for the diving course? Do we need anything special?

A: You don’t need anything fancy! Just wear your swimsuit, and they provide all the scuba gear. If it’s a bit chilly, a light wetsuit or rash guard might be comfy, but it’s not required. Flip-flops or water shoes work best for the beach.

Just booked a Half Day Scuba Diving Course for my partner's birthday!

I’m so excited! We’ll be diving at Lauderdale-By-The-Sea and I can’t wait to see the marine life. It’s their first time scuba diving, so I think the pool training will help ease any nerves. I got it for about $180, which seems reasonable for a guided experience. Anyone else done this? Any tips for the beach dive?

I’m thinking about getting this experience for my brother. He loves the ocean but has never scuba dived before. How was the instructor? Were they patient? I really hope he’ll feel comfortable underwater!
