Come join us SCUBA diving some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many different reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different sites on the reef. The sites are chosen by the captain based on the day's sea conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific sites. IMPORTANT: You MUST be SCUBA certified with recent dive experience for this activity. If you have not been diving in more than one year, you may be required to hire a guide at an additional charge. If you have not been diving in over two years, you will be required to take a refresher course. Single divers may be required to hire a guide.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this scuba diving trip in Key Largo?

A: There isn't a strict age limit, but divers typically need to be at least 12 years old to participate in SCUBA diving activities. All divers under 18 need a parent or guardian's consent. It's a great experience for teens who are certified, as long as they feel comfortable in the water!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule?

A: Yes, if the weather conditions are unsafe for diving, the trip will be rescheduled. They typically contact you the day before to confirm if it's a go or not. Just keep an eye on the forecast and be flexible with your plans!

Q: Do I need to buy a guide if my last dive was over a year ago?

A: Yes, if it’s been over a year since your last dive, they recommend hiring a guide for safety reasons. It’s an added cost, but totally worth it for peace of mind, especially in a new area like the Keys. Just check with them when booking!

Just booked a half-day scuba trip in the Florida Keys!

I’m so excited! I booked the half-day scuba diving trip at Pirates Cove in Key Largo for next weekend. I’ve been SCUBA certified for a few years now but haven’t dived in a while, so I’m planning to hire a guide. Has anyone been here before? What sites did you dive at? I heard Christ of the Abyss is a must-see!

Gifted a scuba diving experience to my brother!

I just got my brother a half-day scuba diving trip for his birthday! He’s been wanting to dive in the Keys forever. Anyone know what kind of gear he needs to bring? I’m worried about him being comfortable.
