Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this snowshoe hike? I want to take my kids with me!

A: There’s no strict age limit, but kids around 8 and up typically do well. It can be tough for younger ones, especially on uneven terrain. Just make sure they’re dressed warm and have a good attitude about the hike! My 10-year-old loved it, but I brought snacks and hot cocoa too!

Q: What should I wear for the snowshoe hike? It's going to be chilly!

A: Definitely layer up! I’d recommend a moisture-wicking base layer, an insulating mid-layer, and a waterproof outer layer. Don’t forget warm socks and waterproof boots! Gloves and a hat are must-haves too. You’ll work up a sweat hiking, but it can get cold when you stop.

Q: What if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule?

A: Yes, you can definitely reschedule if the weather doesn’t cooperate! If it's snowing heavily or conditions are unsafe, they usually reach out to you before the hike. Just make sure to check their policy when you book, but I've found them to be pretty flexible.

Just did the Half Day Snowshoe Hike in Tahoe and it was AMAZING!

I just got back from the snowshoe hike in Tahoe National Forest and wow! The views from the top were breathtaking, especially looking over Alpine Meadows. The staff at Snowshoe Tahoe were super friendly and made sure everyone was set up with snowshoes and poles. I went with a group of friends and we even stopped for some hot chocolate at the viewpoint. Totally worth it! If you love nature and want a bit of adventure, I highly recommend this experience.

Thinking about gifting the Half Day Snowshoe Hike in Tahoe!

I’m considering getting this as a gift for my sister's birthday. She loves the outdoors but hasn’t tried snowshoeing yet. I’m a bit concerned about her being a beginner though. Is it really beginner-friendly? Any tips on making it a great gift?
