Q&A

Q: Is there a minimum age for this tour, and do they really mean no kids under 5?

A: Yes, they recommend not bringing kids under 5 due to the nature of the tour. The boardwalks can be a bit tricky, and there's a lot of walking involved. It's really aimed at adults and older kids who can appreciate the sights and follow along with the guide. I took my 10-year-old, and he had a blast!

Q: What should we wear? I'm worried about the weather in September.

A: Definitely dress in layers! Mornings can be chilly but it heats up during the day. Sturdy shoes are a must since you'll be walking on boardwalks and dirt paths. Bring a light jacket just in case it gets windy, especially near Old Faithful!

Q: Can you bring your own food, or is lunch included?

A: You can definitely bring your own lunch! They mention you can buy food at Old Faithful Inn, but if you want to save some cash, packing a sack lunch is a great idea. Just make sure it’s something easy to eat on the go!

Thinking of booking the Half Day Yellowstone Hot Spots tour! What do you think?

I’m considering this tour for my parents' anniversary in September! I love that it covers all the main attractions like Old Faithful and the Grand Prismatic Spring. I'm a bit concerned about the walking, though. How strenuous is it? Any tips on getting good photos?

Just got back from the Yellowstone Hot Spots tour! Here’s my experience.

Wow, what an incredible day! We started at 9 am from the Madison Hotel and our guide was super knowledgeable. The Grand Prismatic Spring was breathtaking, and I couldn’t believe how colorful it was. Old Faithful didn’t disappoint either! Just a heads up, bring extra water because it gets hot on those boardwalks.
