Escape the big city for a day in the Hamptons, a region that has long been the summer playground of the rich and famous. The Hamptons consist of a string of chic seaside communities where today’s most well-known celebrities own summer homes. The spectacular beaches, fine restaurants, first-rate shopping and historic sites make it the ideal spot for a getaway at any time of the year. This experience includes private helicopter transportation from Manhattan, shortening the normally 4-hour drive to an approximately 45-minute flight. Upon arrival in East Hampton you will have up to 4-5 hours to explore, do sightseeing, shopping and have lunch while your helicopter waits. After 4-5 hours you will return to the airport and will fly back to Manhattan, concluding the day with a quick skyline tour of New York City before landing. Meals, activity costs and ground transportation costs in the Hamptons are not included in the price of this experience.

Q&A

Q: Are there any age restrictions for this helicopter trip?

A: There aren't strict age restrictions, but kids under 2 can fly for free if they sit on a parent's lap. Keep in mind, all passengers need to be able to wear a seatbelt and follow safety instructions. It's a great experience for kids who love adventure!

Q: What kind of clothing should we wear? Any tips for the weather?

A: Dress in layers! The helicopter can be chilly, especially during the flight. Once you land in the Hamptons, it might be warm on the beach. I'd suggest comfy shoes for walking around and maybe a light jacket just in case it gets windy.

Q: Is it easy to find parking near the helicopter departure point in Manhattan?

A: Parking can be tricky around the heliport, especially during peak hours. I'd recommend using a rideshare service to avoid the hassle. If you do need to drive, there's a lot nearby, but it might be expensive and fills up quickly.

Thinking of gifting the Hamptons Day Trip by helicopter!

I'm considering this experience for my friend's birthday since she loves unique gifts. The idea of flying from Manhattan to the Hamptons in 45 min is just so cool! I know the price doesn’t include meals, but it sounds worth it. Has anyone done this? What was your favorite part?

Just got back from my Hamptons helicopter trip!

OMG, it was AMAZING! The flight was smooth and the views over the city and beaches were beyond what I expected. We had about 4 hours to chill in East Hampton, which was perfect. I recommend stopping by a cute cafe for lunch. Did anyone else experience the same? What did you think?
