Q&A
A: Yes, the class is generally recommended for ages 12 and up, mainly because of the knife skills involved. If you’re considering it for younger kids, I’d suggest contacting the provider, Classpop!, to see if they have any specific policies or family-friendly classes. But for teens, they should have a blast!
A: There's no strict dress code, but it’s best to wear something comfortable and that you don't mind getting a bit messy! An apron is usually provided, but I'd recommend wearing closed-toe shoes, just in case. Also, maybe avoid super loose sleeves; you want to be able to move around easily.
A: The class typically goes on rain or shine since it’s held indoors at a brewery or bar, so weather shouldn’t be a concern. However, if there’s severe weather, they may contact you to reschedule. It's always good to check the Classpop! website or call them if you’re worried about specific dates.

Thinking of gifting the sushi class in Pittsburgh - any tips?
Hey everyone! I’m considering buying the Handmade Sushi Cooking Class experience for my partner's birthday. We both love sushi but have no idea how to make it. I’m curious about the instructor and if anyone has tried it at the brewery. Does it really make the sushi-making process easier? Also, would love to hear if there are any good parking options nearby!
Just took the sushi class, and it was incredible!
I just got back from the Handmade Sushi Cooking Class in Pittsburgh, and wow! The chef was amazing, and I finally learned how to roll sushi properly. We made the Philadelphia roll, California roll, and the cucumber roll. The whole vibe was super fun, and I can't recommend it enough! If you’re on the fence, just do it. You won’t regret it!
