Q&A

Q: Is there any age limit for this imu cooking experience?

A: There's really no strict age limit, but it works best for kids 10 and up who can follow instructions and participate safely. Younger kids can join but might need a parent to assist them. Just keep in mind that this experience involves some hands-on cooking and working with a hot imu, so supervision is key!

Q: What should I wear to this experience?

A: Wear comfy clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty! Closed-toe shoes are a must since you’ll be working around the imu. If you’re sensitive to heat, I’d recommend lightweight, breathable fabrics. And don’t forget a hat and sunscreen because you’ll be outdoors for a good part of it.

Q: Can this experience be rescheduled if plans change?

A: Yes, you can reschedule if something comes up! Just give them a call at least 24 hours before your scheduled time, and they’ll help you find another date. They’re pretty flexible and want to make sure you have a chance to enjoy the experience.

Thinking of gifting the imu cooking experience to my parents!

So, I’m really thinking about getting my parents this Hands-On Hawaiian Imu Cooking experience for their anniversary. They love cooking and are super into cultural experiences. The idea of them making traditional Hawaiian dishes sounds amazing! Just wondering if anyone has done this and what it’s like. Do they interact a lot with the hosts? Any advice would help!

Anyone else nervous about the cooking part of this experience?

I just booked the imu cooking experience for my friends and now I'm kinda nervous about how complicated the cooking will be! I mean, I can chop veggies but I've never done anything like this. Is it really hands-on, or do they guide you through most of it? Hoping it’s not too complex!
