We invite you to attend a gospel Mass service on a lovely Sunday in Harlem. We’ll discover historic Harlem from every angle on this one-of-a-kind tour. Your guide will share fascinating anecdotes about this culturally rich Manhattan neighborhood that was home to such great African American figures as Marcus Garvey, Zora Neale Hurston, Duke Ellington, Josephine Baker, W. E. B. Du Bois, Louis Armstrong, Langston Hughes, and Malcolm X. Take this fun bus tour of Harlem to gain a deep understanding of the neighborhood and its magnificent architecture and rich history. We’ll pass by iconic landmarks. We’ll then enter one of the multitudes of churches with lively congregations that are vital to the community. You’ll be welcomed by a choir and submerged in the energy and fervor that emanates from their powerful songs. Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to join this Harlem Gospel Tour?

A: There isn't a strict age limit, but the tour is suitable for kids ages 5 and up. Just keep in mind that the church service can get quite loud and energetic, so younger kids might need some guidance to keep up with the excitement. It's a great way for them to experience a different culture!

Q: What happens if it rains? Is the tour canceled?

A: The tour typically goes on rain or shine, since most of the experience is indoors during the church service. However, if there's severe weather that poses a safety risk, they might reschedule or cancel. You can always check with MAD Tours the day before for updates.

Q: What should I wear to the gospel mass? Is there a dress code?

A: There’s no strict dress code, but it's best to dress nicely—think smart casual. Many people in the congregation might wear their Sunday best. Comfortable shoes are also a must since you’ll be walking around Harlem and standing in the church. Just be ready for a lively atmosphere!
