Q&A
A: Definitely wear comfortable shoes since it involves quite a bit of walking! The tour takes you through some cobblestone areas and possibly uneven surfaces. Dress in layers too; it can get chilly, especially as the sun sets in Boston. I went in late September and regretted not having a hoodie!
A: No strict age limits! It’s family-friendly, but keep in mind that some of the ghost stories can be spooky. I took my 10 and 12-year-olds, and they loved it. The guide is great at tailoring the tales to make them fun, not too scary.
A: If the weather's really bad, they usually postpone the tour and give you options to reschedule. Just make sure to check their policy on their website or give them a call. We had to reschedule once because of rain, and it was super easy!

Just did the Haunted Boston Common tour—so worth it!
I went on the Haunted Boston Common & Beacon Hill Ghost Tour last weekend, and it was AMAZING! Our guide, who was an actual historian, shared the coolest stories about the old cemeteries and the Omni Parker House. The creepy atmosphere of Beacon Hill at night added to the experience. Honestly, it’s perfect for both ghost enthusiasts and those just wanting some spooky fun. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Boston or locals looking to dive into the city's haunted history!
Considering the Haunted Boston Ghost Tour as a gift!
I’m thinking about gifting the Haunted Boston Common tour to my boyfriend for his birthday. He loves history and spooky stuff! Has anyone done this tour? How long is it, and do they tell good stories? I want to make sure it’s a hit!
