Haunted Boston Ghost Tours, LLC is the oldest ghost walking tour in Boston. Owner, Hillary Kidd, started the company in 2005 as the only tour guide and the company quickly expanded with over 8 tour guides. The concept behind the ghost tours is to tell guests the "darker side of Boston's history" through good, old-fashioned storytelling. The guides do not dress up in costumes, use fake accents, nor rely on theatrics to entertain guests. "Theatrics are not needed when your stories are good, and we tell the entire gamut of creepy stories - ghost stories, haunted locations, murder, the macabre, books bound in human skin; as I like to say, we tell the 'other side' of Boston's history." Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the Haunted Boston Ghost Tours?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but the content can be a bit intense for younger kids, especially with the darker themes. Most families bring kids ages 10 and up. Just make sure they can handle some scary stories! The guides are great at adjusting their storytelling based on the audience, though.

Q: What should I wear for the Haunted Boston Ghost Tours?

A: Definitely wear comfortable shoes since it’s a walking tour! The streets can be uneven, and you’ll be on your feet for about 90 minutes. Dress in layers too, because Boston weather can be unpredictable. If it’s chilly, a light jacket is a good idea.

Q: Can we reschedule the tour if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, you can absolutely reschedule if the weather's really bad! The tour company is really understanding about this. Just make sure to contact them as soon as possible to get a new date. They’re pretty flexible, which is nice.

Is the Haunted Boston Ghost Tour worth the hype?

Hey everyone! I’m thinking about getting tickets for the Haunted Boston Ghost Tours for my friends' birthday. I've heard it’s super interesting, but I’m a bit skeptical about the storytelling part. Do the guides really make it engaging? Also, any tips on good spots to grab dinner afterward?
