Q&A
A: Definitely dress in layers! It can get chilly at the Volcanoes National Park, especially near the steam vents and at higher elevations. A light jacket or hoodie is good, and don't forget comfy shoes since you'll be walking around a bit. Also, sunscreen and a hat are a must since it's sunny most of the time!
A: There’s generally no age limit, and many families take kids on this tour! Just keep in mind that there’ll be some walking and some areas might not be stroller-friendly. If your 8-year-old is up for some adventure, they’ll love it! Plus, the views are breathtaking, and there's a lot to learn.
A: The tour provider usually has a flexible rescheduling policy, especially if weather conditions are unsafe. It’s best to contact them as soon as you know you can’t make it. They’re pretty understanding and might help you find a better date. Just make sure to double-check the terms when booking!

Thinking about gifting the Hawaii Volcanoes tour!
Hey everyone! I’m considering this tour for my partner's birthday. We’re both super into nature and I think seeing the Kilauea volcano would be amazing. The black sand beach sounds dreamy too! Just wondering if anyone here has done the tour? Is the narration from the guide good? I wanna make sure it’s worth it!
Just did the Volcanoes tour and WOW!
I just got back from the Hawaii Volcanoes tour and I can't recommend it enough! The views were insane, especially at Halema’uma’u Crater. The black sand beach was such a cool spot too. I was a bit worried about the walking but it was easy enough for me and I’m not very fit. Definitely a highlight of my trip!
