Q&A
A: There's no specific age limit for the tour, but younger kids might need some extra supervision, especially around the lava tubes and steam vents. It's pretty safe, but do keep an eye on them. My 9-year-old loved it, especially the lava tube part!
A: Definitely dress in layers! The weather can change quickly, and it might be warm in Hilo but cooler at Volcanoes National Park. I'd recommend water-resistant shoes and a light jacket, just in case of rain. Also, bring a hat and sunscreen; it can be sunny, too!
A: Yes, you can reschedule! The provider is pretty flexible with weather issues. Just make sure to contact them as soon as you know you need a change. I've had to do this once, and they moved my date without any hassle.

Just did the Volcanoes National Park Experience - It was epic!
I went on this excursion from Maui last week, and wow, it was worth every penny. The flight to Hilo was smooth, and our guide was super knowledgeable. Seeing the Kilauea Iki Steam Vents and walking through the Thurston Lava Tube was surreal. The Jaggar Museum had some incredible views! I think it’s a great gift for anyone who loves nature. Highly recommend!
Considering the Volcanoes National Park as a gift, need advice!
Thinking of gifting this Volcanoes National Park Experience to my sister for her birthday. She loves hiking and nature, but I’m a bit worried about how long the tour is and if she’ll handle the flight from Maui. Is it a good choice or too much with the travel?
