Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this tour? My 10-year-old is super into volcanoes!

A: There’s no strict age limit for this tour! Kids are totally welcome, and many families take this trip. Just keep in mind that some areas, like the steam vents and lava tubes, can be a bit tricky for younger kids, so you might want to keep an eye on them. Also, it’s a long day, so pack some snacks and water!

Q: What's the best time of year to go? Do I need to worry about weather cancellations?

A: The best time to go is generally between April and October when the weather is more stable and less rainy. However, keep in mind that the Big Island can have unpredictable weather, especially in Volcanoes National Park. If there’s a cancellation, the tour provider usually offers a refund or reschedule option, so you should be covered there!

Q: How's the transportation set up? Is parking a hassle at the airport?

A: There's no need to worry about parking since the tour includes roundtrip airfare from Honolulu to Kona! Once you land, the tour company will take care of everything, including transportation to and from all the sites in an air-conditioned vehicle. Super convenient!

Thinking about gifting this Volcano Tour – any tips?

I want to buy the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Experience for my partner's birthday. We’re both super into nature and I know she’d love the Kilauea visit and the lava tube! Just wondering if there are any must-know tips or what to bring. Also, is it worth it for the price?

Just did the Volcano Tour – it was epic!

I just got back from the Hawaii Volcanoes tour, and let me tell you, it exceeded my expectations! The black sand beach was stunning, and seeing the steam vents up close was unreal. Our guide from Aloha Sunshine was super knowledgeable and kept us entertained the whole day. If you're thinking of gifting this, go for it!
