Q&A
A: Yes, kids can definitely go on this tour! There’s no strict age limit, but I’d say it's best for kids aged 6 and up. Just keep in mind that some parts of the park can be steep or have uneven ground, so make sure they’re up for some walking. Bring water and snacks for them, too, as it can be a long day!
A: You’ll want to wear comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes since you'll be doing some walking. It can get hot, but also chilly in the evening, so bringing a light jacket is smart. I’d recommend breathable fabrics and don’t forget your hat and sunscreen!
A: The roundtrip airfare is included in the price, which is great! You’ll be flown from Honolulu to Kona for the day. Just make sure to check your flight times as they can vary. The tour usually lasts most of the day, so plan accordingly!

Just got back from the volcano tour! It was amazing!
I just did the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park experience and wow, it was so worth it! We got to see Kilauea up close, the Thurston lava tube was epic, and the black sand beach was like something out of a movie. The guide was really knowledgeable too, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this for anyone visiting Oahu!
Thinking of gifting the volcano tour, but nervous about the weather...
I’m thinking about gifting this experience to my sister for her birthday. I know Hawaii can be unpredictable with the weather. Has anyone had issues with rain or cancellations? I want her to have the best time, but I don’t want it to be ruined by bad weather!
