Q&A
A: There’s no specific age limit, but it’s best suited for kids ages 8 and up. The tour includes quite a bit of walking and some rugged terrain, so make sure your kids can handle it. If you have younger ones, just check with Aloha Sunshine Tours to see if they can accommodate you with a special arrangement.
A: Aloha Sunshine Tours usually reschedules for free if the weather is unsafe for the tour! It’s pretty flexible, so you won’t lose your chance to see Kilauea. Just keep an eye on the forecast and reach out to them a day before your trip to confirm.
A: Wear comfy clothes and sturdy shoes! The terrain can be rocky and uneven, plus you'll want layers since it can get cool in the evening. Don’t forget a hat and sunscreen because you’ll be in the sun a lot, especially at the black sand beach.

Volcano Tour Review - Thrilling Experience!
Just got back from the Hawaii Volcanoes tour! It was absolutely breathtaking. The guide shared so many interesting stories about Kilauea and we got to walk through the lava tube! The black sand beach was another highlight. We went to Punalu’u and it felt like being on another planet. Totally recommend it if you’re looking for a unique experience on the Big Island!
