Q&A
A: Yes, kids can definitely join! There’s no strict age limit, but I’d recommend it for ages 5 and up. Just keep in mind that some parts of the park might require a bit of hiking, so check if your kids are up for a little adventure! Overall, it’s a fantastic family experience.
A: Definitely wear comfortable hiking shoes — it can get muddy depending on the weather. Also, take layers since it gets cooler in the evening around the lava areas. Pack a rain jacket just in case, too! It can be pretty unpredictable.
A: If the weather is really bad, the tour provider will usually reach out to you to reschedule. They’re pretty flexible about it! Just keep an eye on the forecast and maybe have a backup plan for activities in Kona. Safety first!

Thinking about gifting the Volcanoes National Park tour!
Hey everyone! I’m considering this Hawaii Volcanoes National Park tour for my sister’s birthday. She loves nature and I think seeing Kilauea in person would blow her mind! I saw that it includes transportation from Kona, which is super convenient. Just trying to figure out if it’s worth the cost and how long the tour actually lasts. Anyone done it?
Just got back from the Volcanoes tour and WOW!
Guys, I just came back from the Volcanoes National Park tour and it was epic! Seeing Kilauea up close was such an incredible experience. The black sand beaches were stunning too! The guide shared so many cool stories and the views were just breathtaking. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting the Big Island!
