Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the Hemingway Food and Walking Tour?

A: There’s no strict age limit for the tour, but it’s generally suitable for ages 12 and up. Kids younger than that might find it a bit long, since the walking can last 2-3 hours. Just make sure they’re up for some walking and can handle the heat if it’s sunny!

Q: What should I wear for the food and walking tour?

A: Comfortable shoes are a must since you'll be walking quite a bit! Lightweight, breathable clothing is also a good idea due to the Florida heat. A hat and sunglasses can help too, especially if you want to enjoy the sights without getting too hot.

Q: What if it rains on the day of the tour? Do they cancel it?

A: The tour usually goes on rain or shine, but if the weather is severe, they might reschedule. It's best to check with the provider a day ahead. Bring an umbrella just in case, but don’t let a little rain scare you off - it can be refreshing in the heat!

Just got back from the Hemingway Food and Walking Tour—what a gem!

I did the Hemingway tour last week in Key West, and it was honestly amazing! We visited his apartment and Sloppy Joe's, plus the food tastings were super delicious—seriously, that key lime pie was the best I've ever had. Our guide was really knowledgeable about Hemingway's life, and you could feel the passion. It's a great experience if you're a fan of literature or just love good food!

Thinking of gifting the Hemingway tour—thoughts?

A friend of mine loves Hemingway, and I’m thinking about getting her the food and walking tour for her birthday! I’ve heard great things about the food but I’m a bit worried about the walking part. Is it kid-friendly? Any tips for making it a great experience?
