Q&A

Q: How strenuous is the walk on the High Line? Is it suitable for my parents in their 60s?

A: The walking tour is generally easy and can be enjoyed by most ages, including seniors. The High Line is flat and has plenty of seating areas if they need breaks. Just make sure they wear comfortable shoes since there will be some walking involved for about 2 hours. The guide also makes stops to discuss the history and art along the way, which adds to the overall experience.

Q: What should we wear for the High Line tour? Is it casual or do we need to dress up?

A: Casual and comfy is the way to go! Sneakers or comfortable shoes are a must since it’s a walking tour. Depending on the season, layers are good because it can get breezy up there. You definitely don’t need to dress up; just be ready to enjoy the views!

Q: How does rescheduling work if the weather is bad?

A: If the weather turns nasty, you can usually reschedule your tour without any extra fees. It’s best to check with Royal City Tours directly, but they’re pretty flexible about finding a new date that works for you. Just keep an eye on the forecast!

Thinking of gifting the High Line walking tour, any thoughts?

I'm considering the High Line & Hudson Yards walking tour for my sister's birthday! I think she’d love the urban gardens and cool architecture. Has anyone done it recently? How was the tour guide? Is it worth it? I want to make sure it's a memorable experience!

Just did the High Line tour! Here’s my take.

I went on the High Line & Hudson Yards small group walking tour last weekend and it was fantastic! The views of the Hudson River were stunning and the Vessel was so cool to see up close. Our guide was really engaging and shared lots of interesting stories. Totally recommend it for anyone looking for a fun day out in NYC!
