This is our favorite tour! One of the most unique experiences in the world, riding down the historic highway built for Model Ts with the spectacular Columbia Gorge unfolding beneath us. We transport our guests and bikes in comfortable vans, and our guides ride with our small groups for much of the ride. You'll get personal attention and the safest experience we can provide. Beyond the 180 years of pioneers and loggers, before the century-old highway, this was the land of people with a rich mythology. We tell the stories that have been told to us by the indigenous people as best we can. You'll visit waterfalls, with engaged hiking and a leisurely approach to the tour itinerary. We want you to enjoy yourself -- whether you are traveling alone or with a big group. Ages 13 and up. (We can accommodate much bigger groups traveling together, please reach out!) Please note there are cars that share the scenic highway.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this tour? Can younger kids join?

A: The tour is designed for ages 13 and up, which is great because it keeps the group more on the same level. If you have kids younger than that, you might want to check if they can accommodate them separately, but the focus seems to be on teens and adults. It’s definitely a good idea for kids who love adventure and biking, just make sure they can keep up!

Q: What's the best time of year to do the Columbia River Gorge tour?

A: Honestly, spring and early fall are probably the best times. You get the lush greenery, and the waterfalls are super full after all the winter melt. Summer can be great too, but it gets crowded. Just check the weather ahead of time; it can change fast in Oregon!

Q: How physically demanding is this bike tour? I'm a bit out of shape.

A: It's fairly moderate! If you're worried about fitness, the tour guides are super encouraging and it's not a race. You can take your time, and the vans are there if you need a break or can't keep up. Just let them know what you're comfortable with before starting.

Thinking of gifting the Columbia River Gorge bike tour, any advice?

Hey all! I’m considering this Hike and Bike Tour to the Columbia River Gorge for my partner’s birthday. The idea of seeing waterfalls while biking down that historic highway sounds amazing! But I'm wondering about the duration and if it’s worth the price. Has anyone done this recently? What’s the vibe like?

Just got back from the Columbia River Gorge bike tour!

I just finished the Hike and Bike Tour and OMG, it was incredible! The waterfalls were jaw-dropping and the bike ride was just the right level of challenge. The guides were super chill and kept things fun. If you’re thinking of gifting it, do it! Everyone 13+ would love it.
