We go into forest that contains endangered and indigenous plants and animals that visitors wouldn't be able to easily see otherwise. Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the Hike Honolua Ridgeline? Is it a tough hike?

A: You should definitely wear comfortable hiking shoes or boots since the terrain can be uneven. Also, lightweight, breathable clothing works best because it can get warm, but you might want to bring a light jacket for cooler areas. The hike has some moderate difficulty, but it’s manageable for most people who are used to walking outdoors. Just stay hydrated!

Q: Can this tour accommodate older adults? What’s the age limit?

A: Yes! The Hike Honolua Ridgeline is designed for a wide range of ages. We’ve had guests from teens to seniors, just keep in mind the moderate difficulty level. The guides are really helpful and can adjust the pace for everyone’s comfort. Just be sure to let them know anyone has mobility concerns so they can assist!

Q: What happens if it rains? Do they cancel or reschedule?

A: The tour does continue in light rain, as long as conditions are safe. They provide rain ponchos if needed, but if there are severe weather warnings, they will either reschedule or issue refunds. Just be sure to check the weather before you go, and be prepared for a bit of mud!

Thinking about gifting the Hike Honolua Ridgeline experience!

I’m considering this tour for my best friend’s birthday! She loves nature and I think the whole conservation aspect is amazing. Plus, it seems like such a unique way to see Maui. I saw that the price is $0, which is wild! Does anyone know if that means it's free or is it just part of a package? Also, any tips for making it extra special?

Just did the Hike Honolua Ridgeline tour, and wow!

I went last week with my family, and it was fantastic! The guide was so knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. We got to see some endangered plants that you can't find just anywhere. The snacks were a nice touch, and the air-conditioned vehicle was a lifesaver after the hike. Highly recommend it!
