Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit for the Ventana and Sabino Canyon hikes, but I’d recommend kids be at least 8 years old, especially for the more rigorous trails. The guides can adjust the difficulty based on the group, so it's great for families. Just make sure everyone is physically able to handle the climbs.
A: Comfortable hiking shoes are a must! I'd suggest wearing moisture-wicking clothes since it can get pretty hot, especially in the summer. Don't forget a hat and sunscreen. They provide hiking poles, which are a nice bonus!
A: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, they typically allow you to reschedule for another day. Just make sure to contact them as soon as you know! But keep in mind, if there’s a chance of rain, the trails can get slippery, so it’s safer to postpone.

Thinking about gifting the Ventana and Sabino Canyon hike!
I’m considering giving my dad a hiking experience at Ventana Canyon and Sabino Canyon for his birthday. I've heard the views from the Maiden Pools are incredible, and I think he would love the Seven Falls hike too! Just wondering how strenuous these hikes really are. Anyone have any tips on what to expect?
Just got back from the Sabino Canyon hike—so worth it!
I did the Sabino Canyon hike last week and it was amazing! The Seven Falls trail was challenging but so rewarding. The creek crossings added a fun twist. My guide was super knowledgeable and made the whole experience enjoyable. Highly recommend this for anyone who loves the outdoors!
