Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for this hike? Is it suitable for kids?

A: Kids are definitely welcome on the hike! The tour is designed for all levels, so younger ones can enjoy it as well. Just make sure they wear closed toe shoes like everyone else. If they’re under 12, I'd recommend checking directly with the tour provider for any extra advice.

Q: What should we wear for this hike, especially for the waterfalls?

A: Definitely wear closed toe shoes like hiking boots. The trails can get muddy, especially near the waterfalls, so something with good grip is a must! Light, breathable clothing is best since it can get warm. A swimsuit under your clothes is a great idea for swimming at the waterfalls!

Q: What if the weather is bad? Do they reschedule?

A: Yes, they have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If the weather is too bad, they’ll usually reach out to you to reschedule or offer a refund if you can’t make it. Make sure to keep an eye on the forecast before your trip!

Just did the Hilo Waterfall Swim and Hike - Amazing Experience!

I took the Hilo Waterfall Swim and Hike last week and it was incredible! The views of Kolekole Falls were breathtaking, and our guide was super knowledgeable about all the tropical plants. We even got to sample some apple bananas right from the field! Make sure to wear good shoes because it can get a bit slippery, especially near the waterfalls. Overall, a fantastic way to spend the day on the Big Island!

Considering getting this as a gift - Any tips?

I'm thinking of gifting the Hilo Waterfall Swim and Hike to my sister for her birthday. She loves hiking but isn’t super experienced. Is this a good choice? What should I know before booking?
