Q&A
A: There's no strict age restriction, but I’d say it’s best suited for teens and adults. The tour dives into some heavy topics, especially if you're discussing true crime. I took my 16-year-old, and they loved it, but I'd recommend checking with the guide if you're thinking about bringing younger kids!
A: Public transport is super easy! You can take the N-Judah streetcar to get close, or the 7 or 33 bus lines. If you're driving, there's street parking but it can be tricky during weekends, so plan ahead! The area can get crowded, especially on Saturdays.
A: Comfort is key! Wear good walking shoes since you'll be on your feet a lot, and layers are a must — it can get chilly in SF. I wore a flowy boho dress and a denim jacket, which was perfect for the vibe and the weather. Don’t forget a hat or sunglasses if it's sunny!

Thinking about gifting the Haight-Ashbury tour! Anyone done it?
I’m considering this Hippie Haight-Ashbury and True Crime Tour for my partner’s birthday. They love history and anything crime-related, plus the Summer of Love is such a cool theme! I just wanna know if it’s worth it and how the tour guides are. Are they engaging? Any must-see spots I should know about?
Just got back from the Haight-Ashbury tour, and I loved it!
So, I took the Hippie Haight-Ashbury and True Crime Tour last weekend, and wow, it did not disappoint! The guide was a sixth-gen San Franciscan, so they had all sorts of insider info. From the hippie history to the crime stories, it was a wild ride! Definitely bring good shoes and be ready to walk. Anyone else been?
