Q&A
A: There isn't a strict age limit for this tour, but it really depends on the kids. Younger ones might get bored with the history parts, but if they're old enough to appreciate stories and enjoy walking, they’ll probably have fun! The app is easy to use, so they can engage at their own pace, making it great for families.
A: Definitely wear comfy shoes! The walking is pretty flexible, and you can move at your own pace. The route takes you along the coast and through town, so layers are a good idea too, especially if you plan to be out longer. Don’t forget sunscreen if it’s sunny!
A: The audio tour is designed for flexibility, so you can always reschedule or wait for a nicer day! If it’s just drizzling, some people still go out and enjoy the tour with proper rain gear. Just check the weather forecast and plan accordingly!

Just did the Historic Bar Harbor Tour - Amazing Experience!
I recently took the Historic Bar Harbor Self-Guided Walking Audio Tour with my family. The app was super easy to use, and the stories about the Gilded Age were fascinating! We started at the designated point by the pier and spent a good couple of hours strolling along the coast, snapping pics. The lobster history bits were a hit with the kids! Honestly, I liked moving at our own pace. Would recommend it for anyone visiting Bar Harbor!
Gift Idea for My History-Loving Friend!
I’m thinking of getting this self-guided audio tour for my friend who loves history and the outdoors. It’s only $0, which is insane! Has anyone given it as a gift? How did the recipient like it? I want them to have a great time exploring Bar Harbor’s history.
