Q&A
A: There’s no strict age limit! Kids are definitely welcome, but keep in mind that it’s a walking tour, so younger children might get tired. It’s great for ages 10 and up, and they’ll probably enjoy the stories of the historical figures like JFK. Just be sure to check if they can handle walking for a couple of hours.
A: Dress comfortably! You’ll be walking a lot, so wear good shoes. I recommend sneakers or comfy boots. Also, check the weather before you go – if it looks like rain, bring an umbrella or a light jacket. Don't forget sunscreen if it’s sunny!
A: If it rains, the tour generally goes on unless it’s a bad storm. It’s best to check the day before. If you need to reschedule, just contact DC by Foot, and they’re usually pretty accommodating about finding a new date. Just plan ahead!

Just booked the Historic Georgetown walking tour for my parents!
I’m really excited! My parents are history buffs, and this tour sounds perfect. Canden Schwantes is the guide, right? I’ve heard he’s super knowledgeable about Georgetown. Also, I love that it’s free! I just hope the weather's nice on the day we go. Anyone else done this? Any tips?
Thinking of giving this tour as a gift! Thoughts?
I really want to get this walking tour for my sister's birthday. She loves architecture and history, especially about D.C. I saw it covers the Old Stone House and the Kennedy stories. Do you think she’d enjoy it? What’s the vibe like on the tour?
