Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this gold panning adventure?

A: There's no strict age limit for the gold panning adventure. It's family-friendly, so kids are welcome! Just keep in mind that it might be easier for older kids to really enjoy the hands-on gold panning part. They do recommend adult supervision for younger kids, especially near the creek.

Q: What should we wear for the gold panning experience? Is it muddy?

A: Definitely wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty! Closed-toe shoes are a must since you'll be near water and possibly mud. A light jacket is also a good idea since it can get chilly by the creek, even in summer.

Q: Can this be rescheduled if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, the experience can usually be rescheduled due to bad weather. Just make sure to call the provider ahead of time. They’re generally pretty flexible and want you to enjoy your adventure. Always good to check their cancellation policy when you book!

Just booked the Historic Gold Panning Adventure in Juneau!

I’m so excited! I heard the salmon bake is all-you-can-eat, and I love salmon! I’m taking my brother for his birthday, and we can't wait to pan for gold at Gold Creek. Has anyone done this before? What was your favorite part? I hope we get to see some salmon in the creek, too!

Thinking about gifting the Gold Panning Adventure to my parents!

Any thoughts? They love outdoor activities and are always up for trying new things. Juneau seems like such a beautiful spot, and I think they’d enjoy the mix of history and food. What do you all think? Is it worth the price?
