This tour combines two of Philly’s best contributions to the country: its history and its food! Starting with some favorite hearty snacks, we'll take the edge off with a refreshing local cider (yes, the full pint!). But pace yourself because dining stop #2 isn't far. There, we'll have your munchies satiated with gourmet snacks with loads of toppings, along with a stiff cocktail (yes, the full serving again). Want more? Next stop up is some flavorful Creole with another local beverage before rounding out the tour with a sweet take-home collection from the country's oldest confectionery. Come hungry, leave tipsy, and be in-the-know about Philadelphia’s rich history. We’ll serve you food, drinks, sweets, Ben Franklin, the Liberty Bell, and much more! While the foods during the 17th and 18th centuries may have been bland, we’re serving modernized versions of these foods and drinks that would have the colonials jealous. Learn about Philadelphia’s history in the tastiest way possible.

Q: What happens if it rains during the Historic Old City Dine Around?

A: The tour runs rain or shine, but they do have some flexible plans. If the weather's really bad, they might reschedule you. Just check with City Food Tours a day or two before if you're worried about it.

A: While the tour is designed with adults in mind, kids are definitely welcome! Just keep in mind that there are alcoholic beverages included, so it might be better for older kids or teens who can enjoy the history part.

Just got back from the Historic Old City Dine Around - amazing!

I just went on the Historic Old City Dine Around last weekend and wow, it exceeded my expectations! The local cider at the first stop was super refreshing. The guide was friendly and really knew her stuff about Philly's history. The Creole food was my favorite part! I brought my friend who’s never been to a food tour before and she’s already asking when we can go again. Can’t recommend this enough!

Thinking of gifting the Dine Around tour - anyone done it?

I’m considering gifting the Historic Old City Dine Around to my sister for her birthday. She loves food and history, so it seems perfect! Has anyone done it? Should I expect some cool hidden spots? Also, how's the portion size? I want to make sure she doesn't leave hungry!
