Q&A

Q: Are there any age limits for the Historic Old Sacramento Walking Food Tour?

A: There aren't strict age limits for the tour, but it's generally more enjoyable for teens and adults due to the historical content and food tasting. Kids are welcome, though! Just keep in mind that some of the food might not be kid-friendly. Also, babies in strollers can come along, but be prepared for some cobblestone streets.

Q: What should we wear for the food tour? Is it casual or fancy?

A: Definitely go with comfortable, casual attire! You'll be walking a lot, so wear shoes that can handle the cobblestones. Layers are a good idea too, especially since it might get chilly by the river in the evening. And don't forget a hat for the sun!

Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of our tour? Can we reschedule?

A: If the weather looks bad, SacTown Bites usually contacts you the day before to discuss rescheduling options. They’re really accommodating, so just keep an eye on your email. You can always book for another day if it rains!

Just did the Historic Old Sacramento Walking Food Tour!

OMG, I just got back from the Historic Old Sacramento Walking Food Tour and it was such a blast! The guide was super knowledgeable about the Gold Rush history, and we hit up some amazing food spots. I definitely recommend the gelato shop we went to—such a perfect treat after all that walking! Can't wait to do it again with my family next time. Has anyone else done this?
