THIS TOUR IS A MUST FOR HISTORY BUFFS! When planning a trip to Arizona, a visit to Jerome and the Verde Valley are a “must do”. Recently voted as one of “America’s Coolest Small Towns” by BudgetTravel.com readers, the former mining town of Jerome is one of the most popular sites in Northern Arizona to visit. On this 4 ½ hour tour, our guide will pick you up at your hotel, resort, timeshare in Sedona, Cottonwood or Jerome in one of our comfortable, climate-controlled vans. While your guide narrates the rich history of the Verde Valley, you will travel through historic Cottonwood, once called the “Bootleg Capital of Arizona” for good reason as you will learn.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this tour?

A: There's no strict age limit, but I'd say it’s best for kids 8 and up. The tour can get a bit long for really young ones, especially the historical bits. Just make sure they can handle the 4.5 hours! They’ll enjoy the stories, though!

Q: What should I wear? Is it a lot of walking?

A: Comfortable shoes are a must since you'll have some walking during the free time. I wore sneakers and it was perfect! The tour is mostly in the van, but you might want layers because Sedona can get chilly, especially in the morning.

Q: Can this tour be rescheduled if something comes up?

A: Yes! The company is pretty flexible. Just give them a call or email at least 24 hours before your scheduled time, and they’ll work with you to find a new date. Super accommodating!

Just did the Historic Tour of Jerome - Here’s my take!

I recently went on the Historic Tour of Jerome and it was epic! Our guide was super knowledgeable, and I learned so much about the mining history and the quirky facts about Cottonwood. The free time was perfect for grabbing lunch and checking out the local shops. I went with my parents and we all had a blast. If you’re in Sedona, definitely consider this tour!

Thinking about gifting the Jerome tour for my dad’s birthday!

My dad is a huge history buff and I’m considering getting him this tour for his upcoming birthday. It sounds like such a great way to spend a day! I love that it includes hotel pickup. Has anyone else gifted this experience? Would he enjoy it?
