Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but it's best suited for kids ages 10 and up. The trails can be uneven and there’s a fair amount of walking involved. You know your child best, but I’d recommend bringing someone who can handle a couple of miles of walking and is interested in history!
A: If the weather is really bad, they’ll reschedule the tour for you. It’s Alaska, so they’re used to unpredictable weather! Just make sure to check with them a day before and keep an eye on your email for updates.
A: Definitely wear comfortable walking shoes since the trails can be uneven and a bit rustic. Dressing in layers is also a good idea, as temperatures can fluctuate. Don’t forget a light jacket just in case, and consider bringing a water bottle!

Thinking of gifting the Treadwell Walking Tour - any thoughts?
I’m looking to gift this Historical Walking Tour of Treadwell to my dad who loves history and the outdoors. He’s been wanting to learn more about the Gold Rush era! Just wondering if it's worth the time and how interactive the AR part really is. Anyone tried it?
Just did the Treadwell Tour - here’s my experience!
I just finished the Historical Walking Tour in Juneau, and wow, it was amazing! The guide was super knowledgeable about the Gold Rush era, and the AR scenes really made the history come alive. The ruins are so fascinating! A bit of a hike, but totally worth it. Highly recommend it as a unique gift!
