Q&A
A: There's no strict minimum age, but younger kids might not find it as engaging. I took my 12-year-old, and he loved it! Just be aware that it’s a lot of walking, so make sure they’re up for it. Also, the tour covers some historical topics that might not interest very young kids.
A: Casual is definitely the way to go! Comfortable shoes are a must since you'll be walking on cobblestones and through parks. I went in spring, so a light jacket was perfect for the cool mornings. Sunscreen and hats are also good ideas if it's sunny!
A: They usually keep the tour unless there’s severe weather. I was on the fence about going when it rained lightly, but it turned out fine! They provide umbrellas if needed. Just check the forecast and be ready for a little drizzle.

Just booked the History of Savannah Walking Tour for my parents!
I can't wait for my parents to go on this walking tour! They love history and Savannah is so rich with it. I booked it for next month, and the small group vibe seems perfect for them. I’m a bit nervous about the weather though, but I hear they adapt well. Has anyone done this yet? What kind of stories did you learn?
Experience with the History of Savannah Walking Tour
I just did the History of Savannah Walking Tour last weekend, and it was amazing! The guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. We saw a lot of the historic squares and learned about the city's founding in 1733. The pace was relaxing, and we got to ask questions which made it feel personal. Highly recommend it if you’re ever in Savannah!
