Q&A

Q: Is there a minimum age for this tour? I want to take my kids, but they’re only 8 and 10.

A: There's no strict age limit for the Hollywood Cemetery tour, but it's recommended for ages 12 and up due to the historical content and walking involved. However, younger kids are welcome if they're accompanied by an adult. Just keep in mind that the tour covers some serious topics and there's a bit of walking involved!

Q: What should we wear for the walking tour? Is it casual or more dressy?

A: Definitely go casual! Since it's a walking tour, comfy shoes are a must. The paths can be uneven, so avoid heels or sandals if you can. Dress in layers depending on the weather—Richmond can be unpredictable, especially in the fall!

Q: How does rescheduling work if the weather is bad? What if it rains?

A: If the weather looks bad and the tour needs to be canceled, they'll reach out to you ahead of time to reschedule. It’s super flexible, so don't worry if rain creeps in! Just make sure to check your email for updates the day before your tour.

Just did the Hollywood Cemetery tour—so cool!

I recently went on the Hollywood Cemetery Hills and History tour in Richmond and it was amazing! The guide was super knowledgeable about all the famous people buried there, including some US presidents. The views of the James River were breathtaking! It lasts about 2 hours, and there’s a lot of walking, but it felt really engaging. I got it as a gift for my history-loving friend, and she loved every minute of it!
