Want to experience more of the real Los Angeles? On this tour you'll start the day in Hollywood and learn all about how and why the movie business first moved to this small town in the Wild West. There's a lot of history hidden in plain site in this most famous of neighborhoods and you'll learn about it all, as well as see the many iconic buildings that dot the storied Boulevard. Next you'll take the subway (ticket included) to downtown. This is where the city began in 1781 and it's the largest historic downtown of any major city in America. It has a lot of beautiful architecture, but it's definitely not a museum - it's the most dynamic and interesting part of the city (with the best restaurants and bars too). * Tour starts 10am daily * Travel on Los Angeles Metro included in ticket price * There’s a big range of food options and all types of diet can be accommodated (vegan, gluten-free etc)

A: There's no specific age limit for the tour, but it's best for kids who can handle walking for a few hours and using the Metro. Kids around 8-10 and up usually enjoy it. Just keep in mind that some segments involve busy streets and lots of people, so staying close is key. It’s a lot of fun for families, especially if they like Hollywood movies!

Q: I’m worried about the weather. What happens if it rains?

A: If the weather is bad, they usually have a plan B! You’ll definitely still learn a lot about Hollywood and downtown LA. Just check in with your tour guide beforehand, and they can give you options. Plus, walking in downtown can be fun, there are lots of spots to duck into if it rains. A light jacket is always a good idea!

Q: How long does the tour usually last, and what should I wear?

A: The tour lasts about 6 hours, including time on the Metro and some breaks. Wear comfy shoes since you’ll be doing a lot of walking! Layers are great, as it can get warm during the day but cooler in the morning and evening. A hat and sunscreen are good ideas too if it’s sunny.
