On our Hollywood tour we go back in time to when the name first appeared on maps in the 1880’s, then we’ll tell you how and why the start-up movie industry first moved to this small farming town in the early twentieth century. By walking the streets of Hollywood you’ll get the chance to discover the many hidden historic sites in the area (such as the oldest house in Hollywood, where Charlie Chaplin’s kids went to school), as well offering you the best up close and personal experiences of such icons as the Walk of Fame, the Capitol Records Building, the Egyptian Theater, the Dolby Theater (the home of the Oscars) and the TCL Chinese Theater where your Hollywood tour ends, in the perfect place to get lunch or get some great shots of the Hollywood Sign for Instagram. * Tour starts at 10am daily * Children under 12 y.o. gain free entry

Q&A

Q: Is this tour suitable for young kids? What age is best?

A: Yes, this tour is great for kids! Since children under 12 get free entry, it’s a perfect outing for families. The tour is mostly walking, so as long as they can handle some time on their feet, they'll enjoy seeing the famous sites like the Walk of Fame and the TCL Chinese Theater. Just make sure to bring some snacks and maybe a stroller for the little ones if needed.

Q: What should we wear? Is it a lot of walking?

A: Definitely wear comfortable shoes! You’ll be walking a fair amount, and the tour lasts a few hours. Dress in layers, too, because mornings can be cool in LA but it warms up quickly. I’d also suggest checking the weather beforehand; if it’s sunny, don’t forget your sunscreen!

Q: Can this be rescheduled if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, you can reschedule if it rains or if there's extreme weather. Just reach out to the tour provider, and they’re usually pretty flexible. They want everyone to enjoy the experience, so they’ll work with you to find an alternative date that works.

Just did the Hollywood Walking Tour and WOW!

I went on the Hollywood walking tour last weekend, and it was such a blast! Our guide was really knowledgeable and gave us tons of cool facts about the history of Hollywood. I loved seeing the Capitol Records Building and the Dolby Theater up close. Plus, the ending at the TCL Chinese Theater was perfect for some awesome pics. Definitely recommend it if you're thinking about it as a gift!

Best gift idea for my cinephile friend!

I'm thinking about getting the Hollywood walking tour for my friend who’s obsessed with movies. It’s really cool that you can see spots like where Charlie Chaplin's kids went to school. Just wondering, has anyone done this tour? Is it worth it?
