Q&A
A: Yes, there is an age limit for the kayak portion—kids need to be at least 10 years old to participate. This is mainly for safety reasons, as the water can get a bit rough in places. They’ll have to be able to handle a kayak, but younger kids can still enjoy the Hoover Dam walk if they’re under that age.
A: Totally understandable concern! If the weather is deemed unsafe, they will let you reschedule for another date without any extra charge. Just make sure to call them as soon as possible so they can adjust the booking for you. I had to reschedule mine last minute due to rain and they were super accommodating!
A: Great question! Wear lightweight, quick-dry clothes since you might get splashed. A swimsuit is a good idea too! The canyon can be cooler in the morning, so maybe bring a light jacket or long sleeves. Just remember, you’ll want to be comfortable while paddling.

Just did the Hoover Dam Walk & Emerald Cave Kayak Combo and wow!
I surprised my partner with this combo experience last week, and it was epic! Walking the Hoover Dam was mind-blowing, the views are insane. And kayaking in Emerald Cave was like something out of a movie—the water is so vibrant! We even saw some wildlife along the way. Highly recommend it for a romantic or adventurous gift. We got lunch on a secluded beach too, which was such a nice touch.
Thinking about gifting this experience!
Looking for some thoughts on the Hoover Dam Walk & Kayak combo. I want to give this to my sister for her birthday. She loves nature and adventure, but I’m worried about the kayak part—she’s not super athletic. Do you think it’ll be too hard for her?
