Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for this rafting experience? Can kids join?

A: The minimum age for this adventure is 12 years old, which is great for teens looking for some excitement! Just make sure they’re comfortable in water and have a sense of adventure. Always check with the provider if you have specific concerns about your kids’ readiness.

Q: What should I wear for the whitewater rafting? Is it cold?

A: Definitely wear layers! They provide dry suits which help keep you warm, but it can still be chilly on the water. I recommend a swimsuit underneath, plus a thermal layer and a hat if it’s windy. Don’t forget sunscreen, even in Alaska!

Q: How do rescheduling and cancellations work? What if the weather is bad?

A: If the weather is unsafe, they will definitely reschedule. You'll want to call ahead and check their cancellation policy, but usually, they’re pretty flexible. Just be sure to give them at least 48 hours notice if you need to change your date!

I'm thinking of giving my partner the Six Mile Creek whitewater rafting package for their birthday! We’ve never done anything like this before, but the Class V rapids sound exhilarating. Can anyone share how their experience was? Any tips for first-timers?

Just did the Six Mile Creek rafting - WOW!

I just got back from the Six Mile Creek rafting trip and it was amazing! The rapids were intense but so much fun. We got to see some wildlife too. I can’t recommend it enough if you're looking for a thrill! Anyone else done it recently?
