Q&A

Q: How long does the ride usually last? Is it okay for kids?

A: The ride typically lasts about an hour, but you can request a longer duration if you want to soak in more views! It's definitely kid-friendly, just keep in mind younger ones might need a booster seat for comfort. The carriage can accommodate up to six people, so it's perfect for families!

Q: What should we wear? Is it chilly in the evenings?

A: Definitely dress in layers! Mornings and evenings can get a bit chilly, especially in fall. I'd recommend bringing a light jacket just in case. As for footwear, stick to comfy shoes since you might do some walking at the park.

Q: Can we bring our own drinks and snacks? What about parking?

A: Absolutely! You can bring your own snacks and drinks for the ride, which is great for a picnic vibe. As for parking, there's a lot near the park entrance, and it’s usually not too crowded. Just make sure to arrive a bit early to find a good spot!

Thinking of gifting a horse and carriage ride at Moses H. Cone Park!

Hi everyone! I’m planning to surprise my parents with the horse and carriage ride at Moses H. Cone Park in Blowing Rock. I know it’s the only authorized service and the views are supposed to be amazing! I’m hoping they’ll love it. Has anyone done this recently? How was the experience? Any tips?

Just did the carriage ride—amazing experience!

Wow, we just finished the horse and carriage ride at Moses H. Cone Park! It was such a beautiful experience. We saw the manor and rode through some incredible trails. The guide was super friendly and even told us some cool history about the area. Definitely worth it! We brought some drinks, which was the best idea ever!
