Join us for a fun day of paddling and hiking on the beautiful Rio Grande through Big Bend National Park! The Rio Grande through Hot Springs Canyon makes for a fun and active way to see and learn about the region and make the most of your visit to Big Bend. Guests can expect professional guides, riverside lunch, a visit to the famous langford hot springs, and local interpretation and information. Most trips are done in Canoes and Kayaks and you will have the ability to paddle your own boat while on this experience. Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids joining the Hot Springs Canyon trip?

A: The Hot Springs Canyon trip is great for families! Kids as young as 6 are typically welcome, but it’s good to check with Far Flung Adventures for any specific age requirements. Just make sure they can handle some paddling and hiking. It’s an active day, but the guides are super accommodating and experienced with families.

Q: How do we handle rescheduling if the weather is bad?

A: Far Flung Adventures has a flexible rescheduling policy for weather-related cancellations. They usually contact you the day before if the conditions don’t look good. You can easily reschedule your trip, but it's best to call them directly to confirm. They’re super helpful!

Q: What should we wear for the Hot Springs Canyon trip?

A: Dress in layers! It can get warm while paddling but cooler when you're hiking. Quick-dry clothes are ideal, and don’t forget your swimsuit if you plan to hit the hot springs. Also, water shoes or sandals with straps work best. A hat and sunscreen are a must too!

Thinking of gifting the Hot Springs Canyon experience!

Hey everyone! I’m considering buying the Hot Springs Canyon Full Day trip for my partner’s birthday. We’ve never paddled in Big Bend before but love outdoor adventures. Can anyone share their experience? Is the riverside lunch as good as it sounds? And how's the scenery? I want this to be a memorable gift!

Just got back from the Hot Springs Canyon trip!

Wow, I can’t recommend this enough! The guides were super knowledgeable, and the views were unreal. Paddling through the canyon felt like an adventure movie! We even got to soak in the hot springs, which was so relaxing after all that paddling. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Big Bend!
