We're one of two rental companies located on the Buffalo Bayou in Houston. What sets us apart from our competition is that we are open seven days a week from 10 am to 6 pm. We also have a variety of colors to choose from when it comes to kayaks so you'll be able to live your most colorful life. Additionally, there is staff on call in case you get stuck or need help to get in and out of your kayak or board. Our staff is also more than happy to give you a lesson on how to use the equipment before you get out on the water! We are always to help out any guests with any questions before or after you get on the water.

Q: Is there an age limit for using the kayaks or paddleboards?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but kids typically need to be at least 5-6 years old to paddle with adult supervision. They can also ride with an adult in a tandem kayak. Just make sure they can wear a life jacket comfortably. It's super safe and fun!

Q: What's the weather policy? Do they cancel for rain?

A: They usually operate in light rain but will cancel for severe weather like storms or high winds. If you book in advance and it’s canceled, you’ll get a reschedule option or a refund. It’s best to check the forecast before heading out!

Q: How do the rentals work? Do you need to reserve in advance?

A: You can walk up and rent a kayak or paddleboard, but I recommend reserving in advance, especially on weekends or holidays. It’s super easy online! Just pick your time and show up. They have a great selection of colorful kayaks too!

I really want to get my sister and her boyfriend a fun day out on the Buffalo Bayou. I found this kayak rental place that seems awesome. They’re open daily from 10-6, which is perfect. Has anyone tried them out? What should they wear? Should I get them a lesson included? Any tips would be appreciated!

Just finished the Buffalo Bayou kayak rental!

OMG, we had such a great time! The staff was super friendly and helped us get into the kayaks. We got to choose a bright orange one, which made it even more fun. Paddling along the bayou was so relaxing. Definitely considering doing it again for a friend's birthday!
