Q&A
A: Yeah, kids are totally welcome on the tour! The guide keeps it fun and engaging for all ages, which is great. I took my 10-year-old, and he loved the cowboy themes and the chance to hop off at the Heritage Society. Just a heads-up, you may want to check if they need a booster seat for the bus ride.
A: Comfortable shoes are a must since you’ll be walking around a bit at the Heritage Society! I’d recommend wearing light clothing since Houston can get hot, especially in summer. Sunglasses and a hat are also a good idea for the bus tour, but you might want a light jacket if it's a cooler day. Just check the weather before you go!
A: They usually run the tour rain or shine! If it’s just light rain, they'll still do it, but they might adjust the route. In case of severe weather, they’ll contact you to reschedule. I recommend keeping an eye on your email as the date gets closer, just to be sure. Bring a small umbrella if rain is in the forecast!

Thinking of gifting the Houston City Mural Tour! Worth it?
I’m considering this for my dad's birthday since he's a huge history buff. The idea of a guided bus tour and then checking out all those historic houses sounds amazing! Also, the cowboy theme is so cool. Would love to hear if anyone's done this and if it's as good as it sounds. Is it good for older folks?
Just finished the Houston Mural Tour and it was awesome!
Wow, I just got back from the Houston City Mural Tour, and I can't recommend it enough! The bus ride was fun, and we hopped off at the Heritage Society to explore those historic homes. The guide had so much energy and shared great stories! It’s not too physically demanding either. Perfect for an afternoon outing. If you're on the fence, just go for it!
