Q&A

Q: Do they offer helmets for adults, or do I need to bring my own?

A: Yes, they do provide helmets for adults, but it's always good to double-check when reserving. Just ask when you pick up your bike, and they'll have one ready for you. If you have a preferred helmet, feel free to bring it along too! Safety first, right?

Q: What’s the age limit for riding child bikes or trailers?

A: For child bikes, they generally cater to kids ages 5-12. The trailers can hold kids as young as 1 year, but it's best to check weight limits when you arrive. Also, make sure to reserve in advance if you're bringing little ones!

Q: What happens if it rains on the day of my rental?

A: If it rains, you can easily reschedule for a different day at no extra cost. Just give them a call or go through your booking link, and they’ll help you out. I did that last summer, and they were super accommodating!

Thinking of gifting a bike rental in NYC, any tips?

I’m planning to give my sister a Hudson River Park Bicycle Rental experience for her birthday! She loves biking, but I’m a little nervous about the logistics. What’s the best route to take for landmarks? Also, is it easy to find parking near the pickup? I don’t want her to stress over that!

Just did the bike rental! Here’s my experience!

I rented bikes from Hudson River Park last week, and it was so much fun! We rode down to the Brooklyn Bridge and took tons of pics. The bikes were super smooth, and the staff was helpful. We even added a basket for snacks! Just a heads up about the helmet thing if you’ve got kids. Overall a great day out in NYC!
