Q&A

Q: What's the best time of year to see whales on this tour?

A: If you're looking to see humpback whales, the best time is definitely between December and March. That's when they come to breed and give birth around the Big Island. During that time, you're almost guaranteed to see them! But there are dolphins year-round, so it’s always a great trip.

Q: Is there a weight limit or any health restrictions for this tour?

A: There's no specific weight limit mentioned, but the tour is generally suitable for ages 5 to 70. If you have any health concerns, it’s a good idea to check with the provider before booking. They’re pretty understanding and can help you figure it out.

Q: What should we wear and bring for the tour?

A: Dress in layers! It can get a bit chilly out on the water, especially if you're not in the sun. Bring a light jacket and maybe a hat for sun protection. Don't forget sunscreen and your camera for photos! It’s a great experience.

Just booked the Humpback Whale and Dolphin Watch in Kona!

I’m super excited! I booked this tour for my partner’s birthday. We’re going in March, so I hope we see some whales. I read that the check-in time is different from departure, so I’ll make sure to pay attention to that. Anyone have tips on what to expect?

Thoughts on the Dolphin and Whale Watch Tour?

Looking to surprise my sister with this experience for her graduation gift! Anyone done it? How was the guide? Were they informative? I want to make sure it's worth it.
