Q&A

Q: What should we wear for the Husky Hike? Any specific clothing recommendations?

A: Definitely wear layers! The weather in Fairbanks can change quickly, so a moisture-wicking base layer, a warm mid-layer, and a waterproof outer layer are key. Don't forget thick socks and sturdy hiking boots. Also, gloves and a hat are a must since you'll be around the dogs!

Q: Is there any age limit for kids to participate in the Husky Hike?

A: Kids as young as 8 can join, but they should be able to walk the 2 miles comfortably. It's a great experience for families, just keep in mind that younger kids might need extra assistance with the dogs.

Q: What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate? Will we be able to reschedule?

A: If the weather is really bad, they’ll try to reschedule your hike. It’s best to call ahead if you think conditions might be rough. They’re super accommodating and want you to have a great experience!

Thinking of gifting the Husky Hike to my partner - anyone done it?

Hey folks, I'm considering getting the Husky Hike experience for my partner's birthday. We love dogs and the outdoors! Just curious about what to expect? I saw it's in Fairbanks and a 2-mile hike, which should be manageable for us. Any tips on the best times of year to go?

Thoughts on the Husky Hike and BBQ option?

Has anyone done the Husky Hike with the sunset BBQ? I’m tempted to add it for my group outing next month. I think it’ll be a nice way to wind down after the hike. Just wondering if the food is good and if it’s worth it?
