Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this ice fishing tour? Thinking of taking my kids!

A: There's no strict age limit but I'd recommend it for kids 8 and up. The guides are awesome with kids and make it a fun learning experience. Just make sure they can handle the cold and listen to safety instructions. Dress them in layers!

Q: What should we wear for the ice fishing tour? Is it really cold?

A: Definitely layer up! Wear thermal undergarments, waterproof pants, and a good insulated jacket. Don't forget warm gloves and a hat. It can get pretty chilly on the lake, so being prepared makes a huge difference.

Q: Can this tour be rescheduled if the weather is bad?

A: Yes! The guides are super flexible with scheduling. If the weather looks rough, they'll reach out and offer to reschedule. Just keep an eye on the forecast leading up to your day.

Just got back from the Ice Fishing Day Tour in Fairbanks!

Wow, what an experience! We had an amazing time fishing on a frozen lake just outside Fairbanks. The guides from 1st Alaska Outdoor School were super knowledgeable and made it fun for everyone. We even caught a few fish! Snacks were provided, which was a nice touch. Just a heads up, it was really cold, so make sure to dress warmly. Totally recommend it as a gift for anyone who loves the outdoors!

Thinking of gifting the Ice Fishing Day Tour, any advice?

Hey everyone, I’m considering giving this ice fishing experience as a gift to my dad who loves fishing. He’s never done ice fishing though. Do you think it’s suitable for beginners? Also, how’s the whole setup? Just want to make sure it’s a good experience for him!
